What We Believe

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe that in his death, burial and resurrection he is the one and only way to salvation and the Father. (John 3:16-17)

Salvation

We believe we were all born of a sin nature and shaped in iniquity. (Psalm 51:5). Through Christ and his atonement at the Cross, he redeemed us from the power sin. Salvation is free to all who are willing to accept Jesus and what he did.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit. The third person of the Trinity or Godhead. We believe Holy Spirit not only points us to Christ but is man’s helper and comforter. (John 14:16) We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruits and gifts of the Spirit.

You

We believe in you and so does he (Jeremiah 29:11). You are the handy work of God our creator, uniquely designed for him and by him. We would love to have the honor of getting to know you and having you become a part of the New River Family!
